GameSir G7 SE: Replacing the rumble motor on a Gamesir G7 SE

I have an out-of-warranty Gamesir G7 SE. The left grip motor only works when the controller is either shaken or tapped/hit against a hard surface. The motor works for a while and then dies out again. Contact cleaner didn't help.

Can I use a motor from another (XBox or PlayStation) controller to replace it? I know I would have to reuse the old (Gamesir) connector and re-solder the wires. Which colored wires should be soldered together? I'm presuming Gamesir black to (XBox/PlayStation) black and Gamesir gray to (XBox/PlayStation) red.

The motor inside the right-handed trigger is out completely, but my priority is focused on the motor inside the left-handed grip.

Gamesir chooses not to sell replacement parts (reddit: r/Gamesir from 2025)

Les Paul Wireless Guitar: Green + red + yellow cause strum

Hi, having an issue where pressing the first three frets at once causes a downstrum. When I hold these frets, I can still strum up after the first downstrum has happened, but strumming down has no effect.

I have already resoldered the neck connector pins and have even gone as far as to completely unsolder the entire 14-pin strum bar connector from the "main" board, the one with the Xbox button. As far as I can tell, none of the connections on that 14-pin board are shorted to the one next to it and I've run out of ideas.

What could I do next to try and pinpoint the problem? Has anyone fixed an issue like this on their controller?

Bought From Micro Center looking around for answers about this came up mostly short, a solution was to try their software i dont have my pc build completed yet minus some ram getting delivered (used, ebay).

I had a workaround for another third party controller(dont remember the name got it from newegg) for retro arch it let me map out the gas and pedal(dont remember if they were analogue or not) designated l2 and r2 i forgot to bookmark where i found it though.

PDP Victrix Pro BFG: PS5/PS4/PC Switch Broken, possible quick fix/bridge?

Heard a slightly chunkier 'snap' than normal when trying to switch from PS5 mode to PC mode, inspection revealed attached image. The parts that I suspect belong to the working parts of the switch assembly are in indiscernible pieces now (except for the small metal brace that went over the top of them like a shell). The controller is currently stuck in PS5 mode and I would like to be able to switch back to PC. I am completely unsure as to how the original switch worked and don't want to start trying to bridge the contacts at random until I have a better idea of how the original switch was lain out/functioned. Not sure how easy it would be to get a picture of a working assembly and the contacts, but I would greatly appreciate any help!
