<title><![CDATA[Samsung Printer: Samsung C430W not printing black despite cartridge still having 30%]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Samsung C430W Laser Printer</p>

<p>Symptom: Black and white prints are no longer a deep black but more of a faded grey. The print fades to nothing towards one long side of A4 sheet. This makes items with barcodes unusable.</p>

<p>The Black toner according to the Samsung software has 30%. The printer has only ever had light domestic use. It is absolutely clean inside.</p>

<p>Shaking the toner cartridge makes no difference. If I rotate the gears and hence the roller, I get one (and only one) greatly improved print.</p>

<p>The toner cartridges use a gear driver roller at their inner edge to distribute the toner. The 3 colour toners work well but it is as if the black does not rotate because the toner is wiped off the surface in a narrow line along its length.</p>]]></description>

<title><![CDATA[Epson Stylus: Error "E-01" on power-up]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Epson Stylus SX-210 and SX-218: On first power-up menu asks for display language, after selection and confirmation, printer shortly moves head then makes a 1s tweeting noise, stops and says &quot;Error E-01&quot; press power button to turn off. If not locked print head can be easily moved by hand. Ribbon cable and belt look perfectly okay. Ideas anyone?</p>

<title><![CDATA[Motherboard and CPU: ASUS P8H61-M LX3 Plus R2.0 No display on this motherboard?]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>i've been messing with my computer for a bit, but for some reason it's just decided to stop showing any display on the screen. at all.</p>

<p>i don't see any reason it would as it just happened while i was messing in the BIOS, and the settings weren't saved yet. and yes, i've attempted to reset the BIOS settings through the manual's jumper method and removing the CMOS battery, but all it did was make the computer confused on startup. i've also attempted to just have it run for a long time in desperation, but no change</p>

<p>edit: before someone asks, No, i don't think the computer isn't booting as i know it is (the hard drives were warm when i opened it up one time), it's just refusing to make an output for no reason</p>

<p>edit edit: i should elaborate: by confused, i mean it's turning off and turning back on in an attempt to properly boot (which it eventually does... still without display output)</p>

<title><![CDATA[Display: Sceptre monitor blue light but black screen - no image with flashlight test]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>My Sceptre monitor has a solid blue power LED, but the screen is completely black. I am connecting it to an HP laptop using an HDMI cable. I have already tried:</p>

<p>1. Hard resetting the monitor (holding power button for 30 seconds while unplugged).</p>

<p>2. Plugging the HDMI cable directly into the laptop instead of using a hub.</p>

<p>3. The flashlight test (no faint image visible).</p>

<p>4. Checking Windows display settings (the laptop doesn't detect the monitor).</p>

<p>Is there a specific internal component like a capacitor or a fuse on the main board that commonly fails in this way on Sceptre monitors?</p>

<title><![CDATA[Display: I have a Roaming Partial LED Backlight outage on my Gigabyte G32QC]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>I have a Gigabyte G32QC monitor that experiences a partial backlight outage on a section of the monitor. The section of the LED that goes out depends on the day. The issue can sometimes be temporarily resolved by power cycling the Monitor or disconnecting the HDMI or Display Port cable. ( I tried Multiple HDMI and Display Port Cables)</p>

<p>To describe the roaming divide the 32 inch monitor into 4 equal Vertical sectors.</p>

<p>(|1 |2 |3 |4 |) The issue began on section 4, move to 3, and currently in section 2.</p>

<p>(I do have images of when it was in section 3 and now section 4).</p>

<p>I did contact Gigabyte Technical Support who informed me to update the Firmware via OSB sidekick from F09 to F011. This did not resolve the issue.</p>

<p>There is one video that claims the ribbon cables are at fault, which to mean does not make sense as the issue is resolved with a power cycle or removing the display cable from both the PC and Display.</p>

<p>Happy to provide any additional information! IDK if I can repair this monitor as it appears Gigabyte is not keen to provide parts or schematics.</p>

<p>I've had the bad idea to upgrade the firmware of our Epson WF-7840 (version CD17M6 now).</p>

<p>Now, our non epson cartridges are not recognised anymore.</p>

<p>I've search the web about how to downgrade the firmware. I found the procedure, found how to put the printer in &quot;recovery mode&quot; and, on the Epson website, I found the &quot;<strong><a href="https://epson.com/Support/Printers/All-In-Ones/WorkForce-Series/Epson-WorkForce-Pro-WF-7840/s/SPT_C11CH67201#panel-drivers-4-1" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Recovery Mode Firmware version CB08LC</a>&quot;</strong> for the Epson WF-7840.</p>

<p>But it doesn't work...</p>

<p>First problem, the model of the printer does not appear in the &quot;Epson firmware updater&quot; but it sees that a printer is connected.</p>

<p>Second problem, and it is where it stops, when I launch the Update, it fails with a message on the printer's screen &quot;Data file not found&quot;.</p>

<p>I tried with my mac (macbook pro 16&quot; m1 max) and with an older macbook pro from 2009 with the same result. I tried with another USB cable and still no luck.</p>

<p>What am I doing wrong?</p>

<p>I’m trying to troubleshoot a hardware issue on my Bambu Lab A1 Mini Combo 3D printer and would appreciate any guidance.</p>

<p><strong>Issue description:</strong></p>

<p>During prints, especially at higher speeds or when more filament is needed, the extruder begins to click repeatedly and the filament feed becomes inconsistent. This often results in under-extrusion or gaps in the print. The printer pauses or slows unexpectedly as well.</p>

<p><strong>What I have checked so far:</strong></p>

<ul><li>Filament spool tension and re-feeding</li><li>Nozzle temperature settings</li><li>Cleaned the nozzle and heat break</li><li>Verified filament is not tangled</li></ul>

<p>At this point I’m trying to determine whether this is likely due to a mechanical feed problem (gears, tensioner, idler), a drive motor issue, or a sensor/stepper calibration issue.</p>

<p>Specifically, I’m interested in:</p>

<ul><li>Common mechanical causes of clicking extrusion on this or similar models</li><li>How to inspect the extruder gears and tension assembly safely</li><li>Any recommended checks for stepper motor performance or idler alignment</li></ul>
