Dell Inspiron 14R: Half of the Screen Broken

I dropped the laptop on a carpeted floor. The screen itself did not crack or shatter, but now only the left hand side of the screen works. It is split right down the middle at the webcam. It still has color. It works fine when I hook it up to an external monitor, and other than that there is only a small crack on the cover-corner where it hit the ground. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for posting this guide! Good to know that I am not the only one who still happily uses an Inspiron 13 7348 and who keeps it running by working on its software and hardware. I hope that replacing the RAM had the desired effect. I was wondering where to start in order to speed up my Dell laptop - either by replacing the RAM or by replacing the HDD hard drive with an SSD hard drive. I think I will go for the SSD hard drive first. Any experience with this? And about the RAM: What was the capacity of the RAM module that you inserted? I think only the preinstalled size (8GB) is possible, 16GB doesn't work, right?

Hello, whenever I try booting in the fan spins for a few seconds and then it stops. There is no input on the LCD. So I tried it with an external monitor. Still no luck.

Why does my laptop change my sign in method? I prefer and have my laptop set for facial recognition. After a few days the laptop decides to use my pin. OK I'd prefer to use my password instead of my pin but the sign in options won't let me. I have to go through "forgot my pin" and try to work my way through. most of the time it won't let me. I've tried going through the IFFUI or whatever it's called page where the Bio's are and boot system etc. It always turns into a loop. After a few days,,surprise ,surprise it's using facial again. Not a big problem but it is a glitch and a sign of bad things to come. Wah for is da madder?

Dell Inspiron 15": WD Scorpian Blue 750 MB Hard disk failed - showing as ASMT 2115

A couple of days back I could not log into Windows 10 due to an error with Windows Error reporting. I tried various things but I could not. So all my data is trapped in the hard disk (WD7500BPKT) .

The hard disk is divided into 3 partitions with Windows etc on one partition.

I was planning to rescue my data by buying an external hard disk. But it shows up as AS2115 / ASMT 2115 USB but I can not see any files.

Hi - I have attached a picture of what I get ... it says its uninitialised... I get an option to initialise the disk but I do not want to end up wiping the data....

How it starts:- one day I open my laptop for some work and suddenly my screen started flickering and after 5 to 10days later it stopped.But after few months it started again.When I go to dell survice centre they tell me to change the display, I try to put the laptop display in such an angle to stop the flickering but it not worked, but when I connect my laptop to my TV to see whether my graphics card is damaged or not but luckily my graphics card does not damaged, the screen of my laptop display on TV does not flicker, but when I see my laptop it is still flickering.I don't know what's the problem with my laptop please help me out to fix it😭

Dell Inspiron 14 3000: Issue with Network adapter.

I am experiencing a persistent issue with my PC. Whenever I try to connect to a saved Wi-Fi network that has auto-connect enabled, it does not connect properly.

After running the troubleshooter, the connection gets restored. During troubleshooting, the process performs a network driver reset.

Attached are a screenshot of the issue and the driver details of the network adapter being used.

Please let me know if any additional information is needed to help resolve this persistent issue.

Dell Inspiron N4110: Laptop not connecting to wifi

My work laptop is connecting to my home WiFi but is showing “No internet” so I am unable to do anything. My home WiFi is working as other devices are connected so it doesn’t seem to be an issue with the router. I have tried disconnecting from the WiFi network and erasing all the other WiFi networks as well as servers attempts at rebooting. I also tried connecting via Ethernet cable but nothing seems to be working. Just to note I have been connected to the home WiFi with no issues since March 2019 so no idea why it’s happened now. Can anyone help??
