Maytag dryer: Thermal fuse keeps going out on Maytag electric dryer

The thermal fuse on my Inglis Maytag dryer keeps blowing. With the fuse out, the element still gets heated, but the dryer doesn’t spin. I replaced the fuse and the dryer worked for a good 30 mins and then it stopped. Again, i replaced the fuse thinking there was something wrong with the fuse, and it worked for a good 20 mins and stopped.

Can someone tell me what the problem could be?

Update (09/26/2018)

HI Mayer, that’s exactly the type of fuse I used. Based on the information provided, do you think the issue is with the heating element (it turns on very hot soon as i plug in, even with the fuse out), the thermostat, or something else ?

LG Dryer: New dryer not turning on

The heating element on my old clothes dryer recently failed even though the dryer would still run on the air cycle. I had a new LG DLEX4080W dryer delivered and it failed to turn on. I checked the voltage on the red and black power connection on the back of the dryer with my Klein ET40 voltage tester and it showed 240v. I cycled the 30 amp breaker just in case. So I thought OK, even though it is brand new it must have some kind of defect. A week later, they brought me another new LG DLEX4080W dryer and the same thing happened. I tested this dryer as well and also got 240v. I can believe I might get one new defective dryer, but I can’t imagine receiving two. But I can’t see how there can be anything wrong with my circuit if both dryers showed 240v at the dryer electrical terminals. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks

AEG Dryer: Condensed water is collected in front of the condenser (AEG T86590IH)

What might be the problem when my dryer collects the condensed water in front of the condenser unit bottom? After the drying the small tumble dryer basement lint filter element in front of the condenser unit is under water and no water has been flowing to the backside of the water tank where the emptying pump is. No water is pumped to the dryer water tank on top of the dryer during the drying. The pump is working ok, I tried pumping with the test mode C2. Is it possible that behind the condenser element there is fluff blocking the water from flowing to the pump compartment? What should I check? Is it for example possible to flush the fluff somehow behind the condenser unit without dismantling the whole dryer?

Midea Dryer: Door won't stay closed, still runs, taping closed

Insignia front load 4.4 NS-FDRE44W1-C (BEST BUY BRAND MADE BY MIDEA) I was doing my laundry yesterday and on my second load the door would not stay shut. I taped it shut and it is working. There is a locking mechanism and that is not locking but it is not preventing me from washing. I have found that part but I am wondering if there is also a catch. The door lock part is 12138200004802. I am trying to figure out replacing that will fix the problem. The customer service agent had no idea what I was talking about. The machine was purchased in 2021 so not too old but I can't find any images that are even close to what the latch on the door looks like to see if there is a simple catch I can replace. The door latch is a long metal piece clearly not compatible with the simple replacement parts I have found on line. Does anyone know how the door lock mechanism works and is it worth replacing to keep the door closed. I hate to do all the work to put the part in and have the same of the door not staying shut. thanks for any ideas!

Whirlpool Dryer YWED7990FW: Why won't it turn?

To start I had sprayed 91% alcohol on the fins inside the drum that breaks up the clothing. Slightly.. also some vinegar was added to the mixture. My dryer has been working. After I turned it off and had already sprayed it while it was turning and working properly it then refuses to now turn and I can't turn it myself either it is stiff. Have I added too much alcohol and if so how can I unstick this? I don't want to add oil into the dryer itself to be blown around because it won't functionally work that way anyway. Is there a place I can spray WD-40 inside the dryer drum fitting that I can reach from the inside or do I have to open up the outside? Is there another way besides this?

Thanks

LG Dryer: Troubleshooting P5 error code

Have an LG WKHC152HWA stackable washer/dryer about a year and a half old. The dryer would not start and had a P5 error code a few months ago. Shut off breaker for awhile and it seemed to resolve the issue. Same problem again, turning off breaker will not fix it this time. There is a constant clicking noise coming from the right side of the dryer when the breaker is on, whether the dryer power button is on or off. Can't find repair videos for this specific model. Research suggested most common problems are likely control board, thermal fuse, or blown motor. I replaced the larger of the two control boards, the one on the right side - there is one mounted to the top of the dryer frame on both the left and right sides. Did not fix it. I have it completely torn down now, have tested the motor and it seems fine, cannot locate anything that appears to be a thermal fuse.

Whirlpool Dryer: Whirlpool GGW9250PW3 Dryer Control Panel Not Responding

HI Everyone,

Having a strange issue. If I unplug my dryer, then plug it in, most of the time the control panel will work. But it's getting to the point where unplugging it has stopped working. I did replace the system board, but the same issue persists. With the new board and the old board. If I open the door, the light on the inside turns on. If I hold in the "Control on" Button, the dryer will lock and if I hold the "End of Cycle" button, it will unlock the panel. But if I hit the Control on after unlocking it, nothing happens.

Is the control panel going bad? There isn't much to it, and I inspected the ribbon cable and it looks fine. It almost seems like there is a short somewhere? Any thoughts?
