I've got a quest 3 of which both the displays don't turn on.

If i spam the on button i sometimes get a white flash, nothing else.

Sound works, charging works fine, controllers give haptic feedback and sounds indicate i am passing by menu buttons. Only no display what so ever, not even backlight. I had it functioning and was able to see everything happening by streaming it to thw mobile app but I have factory reset it through the app and now I don't know where I am in the setup steps haha.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem.could be? Would it be worth opening it up and maybe check on cables? Or is mainboard possibly done for?

An issue I noticed from my inspection of the Main power chip, an LTC3456, is that the PWRON pin and the RESET pin are not going high? According to the datasheet I believe the PWRON pin is meant to stay HIGH to keep the Chip on after the power button is released. When the button is held pressed down, everything seems to function normally around that area. All inductor voltages seem fine and stable. No capacitors appear to be shorted. But I get no signs of life on the device.

I am unsure where to move to next, would anyone have any suggestions on where to test next?

• I think the bottom left section of the board photo is for communication so I have not tested there thoroughly.
• The Crystals read correct Frequencies.
• The CPU's gold pins on the topside of the chip had corroded and some are missing.
• There was a general spread of blue corrosion on the board when it worked fine, which I cleaned with IPA %100.
• The 2 wire jumpers are to supply power from a bench power supply.

I have an oscilloscope, multimeter, soldering iron and a hot air station.

Update 1:

I have finished testing around the CPU and RAM. From what I can tell everything seems fine?

All values are in the photo are for when the power button is pressed down. Anything that is not listed was either 0v or a floating/fluctuating low value from 0.1v-0.3

- Both crystals show frequencies.

- Most values are within 1.6v-3.3v

- Added a picture link of the CPU areas voltages.

• We need a suitable mechanic to repair the TV at affordable service charges

Here’s what’s happening:

• If it’s unplugged, it does absolutely nothing and won’t power on.
• If it’s connected to a wall charger, it immediately starts boot looping (Apple logo for about 5 seconds, black screen for about 3 seconds, then repeats indefinitely).
• The moment I unplug it, it shuts off immediately.
• I replaced the battery with a brand new iFixit battery, but the behavior didn’t change.
• The iPod can enter Recovery Mode and DFU Mode, and my computer recognizes it.
• However, when I try to Update or Restore it using Apple Devices, iTunes, or 3uTools, the instant I click Update/Restore, the iPod exits Recovery Mode, goes black, and then shows the low battery screen. It never gets to the Apple logo with the progress bar.

Has anyone experienced this before or know what hardware issue could cause these symptoms? I’m hoping to repair the iPod without losing the data if possible, so I’d like to avoid restoring it unless absolutely necessary.

1. First Method: Press the volume up button for 8 seconds (until the light flashes) and press the pairing button on the base for 8 seconds (until the light flashes). Headset should pair with the base in a few seconds.
2. Second Method: Unplug the base for 1 minute, have the headset in the charging cradle, plug it back in and it should automatically pair.

Does anyone else have any other suggestions?

There is also a whine in the right ear when nothing is playing.
