Handheld Game Console: Trimui Smart Pro with broken R1/R2 switch

I bought a used Trimui Smart Pro that had some physical mods on it (a fan and heat sink), but the owner failed to mention the R2 button was totally broken.

I opened it to take a look if I was able to fix it, and I accidentally bridged the button with the R1 while trying to install another button (which also failed because it was too big).

Which button switch can I use for this? Is this salvageable at all? The device turns on and plays as normal, but the lack of this button bothers me so much.

Retro Game Console: Help identifying the components for fixing a (BR) Magnavox Odyssey 2

Hello!

My partner found a Philips Odyssey (the brazilian version of the Magnavox Odyssey 2) in a pawn store. We got it, thinking even if it was dead it would be an awesome decoration/historic piece. I want to fix it, but most caps, resistors and inductors are completely blown.

I'm mostly a beginner on soldering / electronics, but I can do some basic stuff (like soldering / desoldering big components without destroying them, using a multimeter) and I think I'd be able to change all the components as they are fairly large.

I have a board number: MAIN BD 703965-5 and these pictures (sorry, most pictures were taken before the console was cleaned/dusted off). I can take more if need be. I know there are a couple of revisions of these consoles, at least in Brazil.

I used AI to identify most stuff but I don't trust it and I was hoping to get someone's opinion.

What AI got me is below - I was able to source all of them locally besides the 12 µH inductor and 33 Ohms resistor

Caps:

Steam Deck OLED: Works plugged, but turns off the instant unplgged

Hello!

My Steam Deck was submerged in water... I left it alone for 8 months assuming it was completely dead and one day decided to try and boot it up. To my surprise it worked!

Everything works great except it needs to stay plugged in. The second I unplug it the screen goes blank.

I've spoke with steam support whom has asked me to key some information into a cmd prompt in the desktop mode and it shows the battery health is 98% and it is discharging... It also shows the battery as "charging" in the game mode but obviously the battery does not charge.

Just wondering if I am wasting money with a battery replacement or if there would be another issue...

Thanks!

Hi guys. First time posting so sorry if I'm stupid and didn't attatch the image properly.

I took apart my controller cause r1 wouldn't spring back and discovered the pad fell through the slot of the membrane. (right one in the image, left is intact) I tried putting it back up but it just falls through again when pressed. I've never dealt with membrane switches before so please tell me if i'm missing somthing.

I found a post here on the forum where someone else had the same sholder button problem and a recommendation given was to order new membrane and replace it. But op hadn't opened it yet and didn't return with updates so i thought i should ask if i can fix it on the spot first before ordering, just to save myself the shipping time.

Thanks in advace

Xbox Series X: On/Off Beep. Shorts around APU test points

I have an xbox series x that does not power on. It started as an HDMI repair with ripped traces and snowballed into something worse. I cannot get it to come on. I ordered a raspberrypi pico to flash this firmware (<ins>https://github.com/xboxoneresearch/PicoD...</ins>) and get the whatever POST code it was throwing.

The result was SMC (1): E006 [SMC_FATAL_CPUGFX] Low priority: VREG_PWRGPAB_CPUGFX_PWRGD missing/timout: Check shorts on V_DRAM1P8, V_SOC1P8, V_SOCPHY. U681, U7, U129, U57 and U480 drive this signal low when a fault is detected.

I checked those test points and got no shorts. I did get shorts on the V_GFXCORE, V_CPUCORE, V_MEMPHY, V_SOC test points though.

I am at a loss as to what could be the issue here. Can anyone guide me in the right direction?
