Infant Optics DXR-8: How can I secure the charging port of my Infant Optics DXR-8

The charging port on the monitor is loose, I think. We have to hold the charging cable in just the right way for it to charge. Can I just go in there, adjust it, and hot glue it in place? Will that last?

Infant Optics DXR-8: Night Vision Not Working

I had to turn off the breaker to my son’s room for electrical work, and ever since then the monitor shows a much darker picture. At night, you can’t even see the room at all! Does anyone have thoughts on how I can possibly fix this?

Infant Optics DXR-8: NO Sound from One Camera But Second one works fine

I all of a sudden can't hear from one of my cameras. I have two paired with the monitor and I can hear the second one fine but can't hear the first one. Any thoughts? I tried blowing out the speaker cord on top of the camera to make sure there wasn't any dust in it and still nothing. At the highest level I can only hear static.

The thermometer/temp reader used to be very accurate, but now seems to be showing a high temperature compared to what the actual room temperature is. Is there a way to re-set it or recalibrate the thermometer?

Infant Optics DXR-8: I need to replace the power cord receiver located in the monitor.

The monitor has a micro USB female receiving port to charge the battery. If I plug in the USB cable just right the battery charges; however, just right means a combination of things including: laying the unit on it's back; placing a 1-2lb item in the USB cord to maintain the charge. It's annoying and I'm highly confident I just need to replace the receiving end of the charger.

Infant Optics DXR-8: Display screen will only display vertical lines.

I have the Infant Optics DXR-8 and recently the display screen has gone to only showing vertical lines. You can tell the monitor is switching between the 2 cameras we have because the lines will change colors, but nothing is visible. Is there a way to fix the display screen?

The camera does not rotate up nor down, I hear the noise that indicates the engine its working, but the camera does not moves. No problem with the left/right function.

Infant Optics DXR-8: Where to find replacement parts for DXR-8? (LCD screen)

There is a nice walk through showing how to pop one of these Infant Optics DXR-8 baby monitors open, but I don't see any sign of the parts for this device in the iFixit store. Can any of you help me find a replacement LCD for the DXR-8? I've googled around a bit, and the best I can find is an overpriced non-functioning monitor on E-Bay that is being sold for parts.

Infant Optics DXR-8: My backlight does not work, but everything else does.

The backlight on the monitor is not working. If you shine a flashlight on the screen you can see it, so the rest of the machine is working, just not the backlight.

Infant Optics DXR-8: The Infant Optix DXR-8 screen image is green.

The image appeared fine for a couple hours, then went green (like an infrared image). We have restarted both the camera and the monitor and re-paired them with no improvement. The start-up screen and menu have normal colouring which makes us think it is something with the camera or connection.

What is causing this and is there a way to fix it?

Infant Optics DXR-8: Lense housing popped off

The circular housing of the lense was pulled off or popped off while in my little one's hands… weirdly though the screen on the monitor shows and image still, but the lense house is fully disconnected. How do I repair?!

The power button on the monitor unit itself seems to have gone out. As long as we keep it from ever powering off we'll be OK but it would be nice to have a functional button again.
