OK, my other half ran over a chunk of snow they thought, and it was a block of ice. It cracked the plastic piece and moved it bent it and some of the screws come out also when parked the vehicle to grand Cherokee all of a sudden a bunch of water in a little bit like antifreeze or something like that come out and now when I go to put water and antifreeze in it, it leaks out underneath where that plastic pieces what could be under there that might’ve been affected by hitting the ice and could it be that a hose broken is just leaking along the hose over to an area like that or something where it’s hitting inside that plastic piece where it used to be screw screwed up and now it’s the water is hitting in there and then it’s just coming out or how does what does that

I cannot shift my gears in my Jeep manually like before

It started when I left my keys outside my vehicle and was able to reach inside and unlock the door when I did the alarm went off I hooked the battery found my keys and it's not been up to shift right since

My 2000 Jeep Cherokee will start just fine in the morning and drive fine for a while then it will sputter and act like it is not getting gas while driving, will stall out while driving, and not restart for a long while. Some other issues that may or may not be related. Dashboard guages do not work. Doors intermittently locking/unlocking.

I have replaced the fuel pump and the crankshaft positioning sensor. Neither have solved the problem. Any suggestions on what it could be? (I have taken it to the shop for the dashboard guages and they couldn't fix the problem). I am beyond fustrated at this point.

I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4WD 6 Cylinder and lately I've been having alot of issues with it overheating on me. I can only drive it about 2 miles from my house before it overheats and coolant starts flowing out. About a month and a half ago my dad and I replaced the Clutch Fan, Thermostat, Serpentine Belt, & Water Pump now the Heater Core is out on it so my dad is going to bypass the Heater Core and I know that I will no longer have heat but that's not an issue at the moment. However I'm questioning if I'm going to be able to drive the Jeep with a bypassed Heater Core because I dont quite know what all happens when you bypass a Heater Core. If anyone could shed some light on this I would greatly appreciate it.

There is gas, the starter is fine, the battery is good. It doesn't matter what temperature the engine is or how long between starts but if I rev up the engine while cranking it starts okay. Rarely I have to rev at stops or the idle drops too low and stalls. If I punch the gas very quickly it revs and drops quickly and then stalls. Starting has a success rate of about 50% without revving. If it stalls, I must rev the engine to start.

I have installed new battery and alternator , new belt , replaced new battery cables negative and positive with new ends and cleaned and sanded all the grounds, only getting 12.48 volts at battery and alternator wires, Green/ orange wire from alternator to PCM 12.48 while running, could the PCM be at fault? There is no voltage drops either, tested with multi meter!

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L ( XJ ) limited trim. It will not idle correctly. below the regular RPM or above..... i replaced the idle position sensor and had the IAC system reset by a friend who is a mechanic. ( idle sensor was to blame, to keep my question short). Everything seemed to be quite fine having done this yesterday. Even seemed to run better/stronger.

Until this mourning when it would not idle at all.... until i started and held the gas down above idle speed for about 60seconds. Also does not idle at a consistent speed and occasionally idles rough.

I will be doing a tune up over the weekend since it is due, which is fairly easy with no plug wires etc just the ignition pack over the plugs.

I am not sure if this will help with my current problem since the computer should correct within reason for any ignition timing if i had bad plugs? yea?

If anyone has any ideas? let me know. If i had a bad part in the ignition system it would throw a code? and the check engine light has yet to come on and everything checked out ok just yesterday.

I drive a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, and recently I noticed my passenger doors are very squeaky when opening an closing.

What is the best way to remove this squeak?

I've heard certain lubricants work better than others, and some shouldn't be used at all because they will hurt the actual hinges and remove the grease in the hinge.

Hello, my key fob pad recently broke and the metal discs allowing me to use the fob functions fell out and are no where to be found. Where can I find some more for purchase? I've tried Amazon and Google and so far no luck on finding a match that I can purchase.
