I bought a OnePlus Nord ce3 lite of OnePlus on eBay.(Bought 3) The advert listed as refurbished, I asked seller what was all done, that I didn't want screen changed etc.

The seller repeatedly told me not refurbished, just checked, cleaned customer 14-30 days return. Pristine. Original box, not sure on charger cable, but no wall charger& different SIM pin. They sent me link to purchase matching phone charger for it, which I did.

Anyway I bought 12 days later, roughly 5 charges, Saturday morning it needs charged, went to put it in couldn't get it to go in.

Had look and the black charging part was gone instead I can see red? Same time there is white substance coming out the speaker grille, I touched it(stupid I know). It felt tiny textured not much, but it dissolved so fast while rubbing into fingers, it vanished completely so fast no residues, or feeling on skin, it was so light and was like nothing was there.

I was advised by someone that it must been opened by someone not clued up, and cleaning products and soldering product left in, that was eating away and moving inside, every time charged it heated it up and dried it to salt.. But all this melted the usb port inside out and showed red gasket and pressure forced the matter salts etc out the speaker.

Also the screen compared to another is duller older looking?

The other exact same phone I got from them was completely flat out box(how long has it been lying there? I thought they checked them?). Another same model (bought 3 total) clearly has phone screen swap,blue purple screen with bleeds and white patches and lines across screen when took photo. Also all sim trays pins are different and no wall charger with box, they claim 1+takes them out before given to them..I doubt that but ok.

Seller denying everything claims all plugged in to their machine and checked , they sent me screenshots of their checks, to show me and how they Got then direct from OnePlus. Return for them to check it yeah right.

So can someone please advise the cause, charger is fine by way no problems. And it was ok last time charged and took charger out, so didn't happen then. Never had this before ever!

The white stubstance and close up of the charging port. The screen dullness hard to see in photos next to the other exact same phone, (that was flat out box). The blue purple screen on the third and it's bleeds, they only comment was nothing done and the lines on screen are caused by camera tie isn't the point..The SIM tray pins sent. ONLY 1 in cardboard others loose non are OnePlus . No idea on the cable added

I have a OnePlus Nord 2 DN2103 with a broken screen. ifixit and the other main sites do not sell a replacement screen because it is too old.

When i look on Amazon or Ebay i have no idea how to figure out what is legit and what is not legit. The prices vary significatly and I dont want to get ripped off.

I have used ifixit to replace and iphone screen before, so have all the tools and found it simple enough that i thought i could do the same with this oneplus nord.

Does anyone have suggestions for what to look for, or maybe a site that could source one for me? Or would it be the case that nothing will be worth it, and I should just give up on this idea?

Any advice or tips are welcome :D

I putting a new tempered glass cover on my phone, when the screen popped out. The screen was still working, however. No problem, I will need to just glue it on after. Then, after putting on a new tempered glass the screen wasn't turning on any more! Does anyone know what could cause this? The phone still seems to be working, when I hold the power buttons it vibrates a bit, but the screen is completely black.

I removed the back panel, and it seems like the rear connection is fine. Does anyone have any ideas about what could be broken? I would rather not get a new screen, as I may as well get a new phone. I am honestly more annoyed than anything that I seem to have broken my phone, and I would like to know what it could have been. Did I accidentally pull too hard on anything? Thank you!

I'm still fairly new to doing phone repairs and have been really successful so far.

I just have 1 struggle I can't seem to get the hang of and that's those pesky coaxial antenna cables..

I have such a hard time reconnecting those things because they are so small and fragile.

Sometimes I might even destroy 1 or 2 of them before getting 1 to properly connect.

Can anyone share a secret or a few tips on how to reconnect these things fairly easily and quickly

Because I don't wanna have to buy a few OEM spares for every phone I work on

More importantly

A simple repair that should only take 30 minutes would actually only 30 minutes and not 1hr and 30 minutes due to me fighting with those cables for an hour

When I plug my new screen for testing, the phone won't turn on. The only input I get any sort of response from, is when I hold the power and volume up button for 10 seconds. This makes the phone do a quick lil vibration and that's all.

I don't think the new screen is the issue. Has the battery been discharged? If it has, the phone wouldn't vibrate at all, right? I don't see what else even could be the problem. The phone worked prior to disassembly besides the, by then, black screen and a few working pixels near one of the edges. Speaker worked fine and google assistant was responsive.

I had the charger plugged in for 4-5 hours, yet nothing changed. The battery pin is plugged in. The daughterboard and speaker thing are still disconnected but the screen should still work without them, right? Sim/SD card tray are unplugged too if that's important. What could the issue be here?

I'm suspecting that I have a faulty USB-C port on my Nord, or at least some of the connections of the port.

Recently my phone started charging really slow, even with the Warp-charger, I have ruled out cable issue and power adapter issue as I've tried different ones. (Of course also checked for software related issues, but no luck).

Hence my suspiscion towards the port itself, would it be possible to have a guide showing this uploaded?

Or if anyone have experienced similar issue and resolved it differently, please let me know.
