내 레노버 노트북 ThinkBook 16 G4+ ARA의 바이오스 칩이 죽어서 바이오스 칩을 새로 주문하고 배송받았어. 이제 바이오스 파일을 구해서 ch341a로 플래시해야되는거로 일고있는데 내 모델의 바이오스 파일을 레노버 공식 사이트에서 찾아서 압축풀고 .fd파일를 구했는데 내 바이오스 용량보다 크고 시작이 MZ..으로 시작해 UEFITOOL로도 열어봤는데 다른 노트북 바이오스들은 잘 되는데 내 바이오스 파일만 올바르지 않은 구조라고 떠.

Acer Laptop: Acer TravelMate B514-31 hangs on shutdown after BIOS 1.21 update

My Acer TravelMate B514-31 hangs on a black screen with the fans and power LED remaining on during every shutdown attempt. I have to hold the power button for 15 seconds to turn it off.

I have already tried the following:

1. Updated BIOS from 1.13 to 1.21 (flashed successfully).

2. Performed multiple battery pinhole resets (15-second hold).

3. Disabled Windows Fast Startup.

4. Updated and reinstalled the Intel Management Engine (ME) drivers.

5. Attempted a forced shutdown using 'shutdown /s /f /t 0' (still hangs).

6. Unchecked "Allow the computer to turn off this device" for the ME Interface and USB hubs in Device Manager.

Restarts are now working correctly after the BIOS update, but shutdowns still hang every time. Is there a specific driver version or BIOS setting (like a "Deep Sleep" or "Modern Standby" toggle) that fixes this for this specific model?

Just happened that I left the system on, only to come back and saw it has entered sleep mood with screen all blank. Tried hard shoot down, removing the batter for sometime, pressing the power bottom for 15 mns, but all in vain...Each time I boot it on, it goes straight to sleep mode with my cap lock lead light blinking but screen all blank. Also noticed that if I leave it on like that, it starts over heating. Please does anyone has crew what could possibly be the problem. Thanks.

What's the best tape to use to make sure the LCD screen connector stays firmly attached to the mother board? In general, how do you know what's a good tape you can use to make sure ribbon cables stay attached firmly to a motherboard? I.e Non conductive, no residue and can hand temperatures seen on the motherboard.

HP Victus 15: No signs of life besides the LED light indicating that it's charging

My HP Victus 15 has been dead for a couple of days now, the power button doesn't show any light when I press it, doesn't turn on at all, there are no sounds or heat coming from the laptop, only the LED light that indicates that it's charging.

I've tried holding the power button, disconnecting and reconnecting the battery etc, etc. I'm not sure what to do. Is it a motherboard problem? If so; then I'm royally screwed.

I have a HP ProBook 6440b that won’t turn on. The charger LED blinks but the laptop will not turn on with or without the battery. I’m sure the battery is completely dead, but I don’t think that would prevent it from powering on. Does anyone know how to fix this?

HP 15-f Series: Laptop freezing briefly every few minutes

Every five minutes or so, my laptop freezes completely for about 2 seconds before continuing to function. When this happens, the video freezes without any noticeable visual glitches, and the audio goes completely silent. Afterwards, both video and audio usually continue as if the freeze hadn't happened (e.g. a YouTube video won't skip ahead 2 seconds); however, keyboard/mouse inputs from the first second or so during the freeze are retained, and seem to all go through instantly as the video/audio unfreezes. Occasionally, mainly when playing games that involve a client-server connection (e.g. Minecraft singleplayer), video and audio will instead jump ahead to match the server.

I've had this issue for a few months and haven't been able to identify a cause. A few days ago it stopped happening, but this morning it started again, both times without any obvious trigger.

Some solutions/tests I've tried:

Restarting (several times)
Restarting and not opening programs I typically have open (Google Chrome, Discord, Discord Canary)
Restarting and launching to a different, unused profile
Uninstalling and/or disabling various startup programs (e.g. Adobe software, f.lux, Copilot)
Disconnecting all peripherals, including power cord
Disabling Windows Game Mode/Xbox Mode
Checking performance graphs in Task Manager: no noticeable changes before, during, or after freezes
Checking more advanced performance graphs using WinDirStat and CrystalDiskInfo: no noticeable changes

The freeze does appear when taking screen recordings, so I've been able to capture some examples of it happening:

Hello, I purchased a chrome book off of craigslist. I found that it was a managed device ive tried several ways of rebooting , power wash, esc, refresh, power even reinstalling the operating system, but didn't get any accurate results. Is there a way I can go inside the chromebook and reset it from there? It's kinda useless as a home laptop if I can't do anything on it. The model is a Dell chromebook 11

Lenovo IdeaPad 330: Laptop breaking in the union between screen and keyboard.

I have had my laptop for 6 years and very recently it started breaking in the union (hinge?) between the screen and the keyboard. If I try to open or close the laptop it forces the plastic in the union and lifts the bottom corners of the screen cover. Tiny pieces of plastic, which I think are the multiple joints that go inside the union, have broken and fallen out, so it looks like the screen is only supported by the two bigger joints at the edges. The laptop works perfectly outside of this, and if I don't move the screen it doesn't feel like it's being forced. Is this something worth repairing?

Hello,

I have been using an HP EliteBook 8560p for a while now. It performs tasks very well when on battery power, but when plugged in, it becomes unresponsive and unusable. It was hard to get the task manager screenshot, but I managed.

For some reason, the CPU is at 0.11 GHz when plugged in, but it goes to around 1 GHz (an average speed on the desktop with all apps closed) when on battery power. Can anyone explain and help me solve the significant slowdown of the CPU when plugged in? Thanks.
