Their screwdriver made contact with something near the battery. They witnessed a spark come out near the battery circuit. And now the laptop will not turn on.

I tried to look for anything that might have looked burned like a regulator or capacitor but no luck.

I don’t have a schematic so I’m having trouble tracing the signal path to determine which components to test with a mulitmeter.

If anyone has any advice or image of the schematic, I would greatly appreciate it!

Here are some photos of the area where the spark happened.

I tested the fuse and it did beep on continuity mode.

I'm curious to know what anyone thinks I should test next?
