My router will give off wireless signal, but it does not give internet access. I've tried restoring to factory settings, but that won't work either. Is there any way to fix this?

You said there were spots on the board for adding a SATA drive. What about the power supply? How difficult would it be to add a hard drive? Is there any software that is Apple's to turn it into a Time Capsule?

Router: How to replace battery on ZTE Warp Connect Hotspot?

The battery on my ZTE Warp Connect Hotspot appears to be swollen after about 5 months of use. I bought a replacement but I thought I'd seek out experts (safety first). I've removed the back cover and know that the battery is held by adhesive but it seems to be stuck very well. How much force can I use with a debit card/screwdriver before worrying about puncturing the battery?

After the battery is removed but still connected do I have to remove screws or the other panel to disconnect and reconnect the new battery?

my airport extreme suddenly stopped working. I can get internet through the ethernet cable direct from provider modem to my computer but not through extreme. I have tried reset and factory reset with no success. The LED indicator on the WAN port indicates it is working but no provider is being detected. If this is a hardware problem does anyone know of a possible repair.

Hi,

My AirPort Extreme started restarting itself repeatedly so I disconnected it from the power supply for A few minutes and then plugged it back again.

Since then the unit Ethernet ports are blinking green but the station main front light remain off.

What can I do? How do I make it work again?

Router: Tenda AC8 AC1200, need help with IC identification

I have a Tenda AC8 or AC1200 WiFi router that powers on but doesn’t work either over WiFi or Ethernet.

Please help me identify this part marked WCBTT. On the pcb it’s marked as U3 - it’s really close to the power input and it gets warm together with the coil that is next to it (around 40 C).

Since there are no shorts to ground on any of the caps or anything obvious I wonder if that chip might be the issue

AirPort Extreme A1521: Keyboard beeps when entering password Solved

I have been using this router for several years with no issues. Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station AC. A couple of days ago it starting giving a keyboard beep when trying to enter the fourth character of the password. Password has not changed. This happened on both a 2016 MBP and 2009 iMac. I usually have the three Macs hooked up to it at all times and am having no problems with those. One is hardwired two are wireless. The wireless are a 2008 Mac Pro and a 2010 Mac Mini.

On the customers 2009 iMac I was able to hook up via ethernet cable, it is running El Capitan. The 2016 Touchbar only has thunder ports and running High Sierra. But the beeping on the fourth character I don’t understand. It happens when trying to enter a bracket “[“. I have no idea why this would just come up out of the blue.

UPDATE 9/19/18

I had a couple of machines come in that had been on my network before from a couple of years ago. They were not set to remember the password but had no problem connecting or entering the password.

I have a question today that seems simple, but I have yet to come across a good answer for it. I have a pc rack mount server that I wanted to put in another closet away from my xserves, but I do not have an ethernet connection in that closet, and the server does not have WiFi. I do have an AirPort express lying around and was wondering if I could somehow use that like a wireless adapter with it's ethernet connection. It is the original AirPort express, not the newest one. I am not in need of a super fast connection that ethernet would bring, but just need to get it wireless. I would buy an actual adapter, but I want to see if I can manage with what I have.

I am trying to connect two computers to the internet through the router and its not working. I had it connected in the last place I lived in so Im not sure what the problem is. Can someone please help me with this?

One of my computers has windows xp operating system. The other one is a linux operating system. I go through shaw. SB5100 surfboard cable modem. All the lights go green except the pc activity which is orange and the standby light which is not lit up.

How do I set up a PPOE or clone the computers MAC?
