I accidentally dropped my phone in a sink full of water. I took the phone out right away, took the back off, and put it in rice. I took it out a few times after that to check it and when I did it still turned on and worked. However, at one point when I took it out the screen flickered and turned black. I put the phone back in rice for 24 hours and took it out a day later. When I tried turning it on it turned on, but the screen is still black and I can't see anything. Is there anything I can do to do fix this?

i gave my phone to someone to use it and he put the sim lock but he forgot it now. now the only way to remove the sim lock is to reset the phone itself but i do not know the phone password.

This seems to be a well-documented problem.

This phone will power up to the splash screen, and then reboot. This process repeats until the battery is physically removed.

I have a USB cable, but no other hardware.

There are two phone numbers I would like to retrieve from this phone.

How can I recover the two phone numbers without additional hardware? I'm thinking some specialized flashing software/hardware is needed. I hope there's an easier alternative.

Samsung GT-C3300K champ: water damage, no backlight..where is backlight control?

fixing this for a friend but I can't find any information on what's on the motherboard and whether the LCD has the backlight control. There doesn't seem to be any signs of corrosion or liquid debris apart from between the digitiser and the LCD (all cleaned up now )..powers up and charges but the backlight is kaput. I'm not at all familiar with this phone so I'm wondering whether replacing the LCD will solve the problem or whether there is another ic that controls it. Thanks for your time..Jen

Samsung E1410: Can I install a 3.5mm adaptor in my mobile earphones ?

I have a Samsung E1410 mobile phone. It's a pretty low-end phone, and the earphones that come with it aren't very good.

It has a wire that goes into the mic and comes out of the other end as two wires, one for each earphone.

Is it possible to install a 3.5mm audio port above the mic so that I can use any other earphone with it ?

Is it advisable to do so ? Could other earphones cause problems ?

Hi. I got a samsung wave s8530 from ebay and it wont let me master reset without previous owners pin code. It is running Bada 1.2 and I tried a few tricks like volume button holding with home button etc to get to a menu screen but no luck, think some techniques work just for androind OS ?

When I slide my phone to text the whole screen turns white and I can not text while using my key board but the only way it works it by texting on the touch part which is not fast enough to get a message out.

My cell phone fell into swimming pool and it was working when I got it out. I found out after a while that the ringer is not working when one of my friends kept telling me that he was calling and I did not answer. However, there is no sound coming out from the phone. I've been putting it under the sunlight to dry it but it still not working. Is there any possible way to make the ringer work again?
