Apparently the ABS module had failed.And was swapped out with a junkyard replacement.

I've checked and replaced the batteries in both keys and attempted to re-pair them using multiple sequences. However, the central locking works fine from inside the car using the buttons and I've also checked all the fuses, which are okay.

What could be the issue?
