TI-84 Plus: Calculator turns on but keys don't work

Hi,

I have a TI-84 Plus. The calculator’s keys stopped working, as I was using it yesterday. I could still see the numbers I had typed, but could no longer type anything.

I took the batteries out and put them back in. I was able to turn on the device, but couldn’t do anything else. So power button is the only thing that works for me. I can’t even turn it back off.

I tried removing the internal battery. Didn’t work.

I took the entire calculator apart and cleaned the keys. Didn’t work.

I tried connecting the calculator to a computer via a usb mini cable but I wasn’t able to make the TI Connect CE software recognize the device. When I try to connect the TI when it is ON, it stops blinking with the cursor the moment the usb cable is plugged in. However, the TI CONNECT CE software doesn’t list it as a connected calculator.

Is there anything else I can do to help fix it?

TI-84 Plus: Been charging for over 8 hours, light indicates still charging

So absolute disclaimer; This calculator worked fine in high school for me. However, it’s been around 4 years and as such the calculator has been sitting in a box unused for that time. I’m trying to see if it still works to sell it. At the time I’m posting this it’s been charging with the amber light indicator for 21 hours. Over this time I’ve tried turning it on multiple times with no luck. Should I let it continue to charge until I get a green light or is something wrong?

TI-84 Plus: Two Inputs, One Graph?

So I have two inputs put into my (Y=) values and both of the equal signs are "highlighted". Then when I go into the graph, only one equation shows up. Yes they are 2 different equations, one is a cubic and the other is a quadratic so they should look totally different. If I go to the table menu after viewing the graph, only 1 set of values appears and if I go back to the (Y=) menu, the Y2 equals sign isn't "highlighted" anymore either. Bottom line is that no matter what, only one equation shows up on the graph.

When I turn on my ti-84, the cursor on my screen is stuck constantly going up. It scrolls all the way through my previous calculations, and then gets stuck at the top when there is nothing else to scroll through. When I click on the down arrow, the cursor appears to flash normally as opposed to rapidly, but I still can’t type anything else into my calculator. Is this some sort of keyboard error?
