For the bottom cover, the Phillips 8.25 mm screws? The iFixit parts store doesn’t have a Toshiba kit and I’m not sure if Acer would work.

I have a Toshiba Chromebook 2 2015 with a Canadian English keyboard, and would like to replace it with a USA keyboard (the enter key bothers me as I am used to the enter key of the USA version.)

My question is- do I have to buy a keyboard/topcase specific to the Toshiba Chromebook 2 2015, or can I use one from the previous Toshiba Chromebook 2 model?

All the Toshiba Chromebook 2 models look physically identical, so I imagine this would work. I understand I would be losing the backlit keyboard feature if I did so, as I would just like the cheapest replacement possible.

WTH....it talks about a Pontiac Trans AM :). I WANT TO KNOW why my chromebook keeps getting those darn little circles trying to connect. I thought Chromebooks didn't get virus'....Can u please help this old grandma ? :)

So yeah, the title explains it all. I was face timing a friend one day and I picked the computer up, I heard a snap as if I were snapping something back in, and the base was loose. I look closer, and three nails are missing. the middle, top left, and middle left. what screws do I need, where do I get them, what screwdriver do I need, and can I tighten them from the outside, or do I need to unhook the back. Thank you!!

Everyone knows that normally shutting down system is just about some seconds, just yesterday I noticed that my system is hanging up, and hard to shut down, so i just long press power button and I removed one of the RAM, it work fine, after some minutes it hang up again, letter I noticed one of the slot is at failut,

So the major problem is why the system is hanging and why it takes an hour shutting down?????

Toshiba Chromebook: My Toshiba Portege laptop is running slow after windows updates

Hi.

I have a Toshiba Portege laptop ( intel core i5, 8gb RAM, 255 SDD) about 3-4years old. Recently i find the laptop running very slow .. infact sometimes lags .. this is especially after the windows updates … Further Yahoo does not work properly on this … cannot really use Yahoo mails etc as it is very very slow.

The It guy has also formatted the laptop once.. but even then no difference.

Can anyone please help .. to diagnose what’s the problem and what could be the solution.

Purchased a new battery because the device is not turning on with battery alone. Must plug in adapter. LCD light is blinking red and green with adapter plugged in. Battery icon states that battery is full- but the second I unplug the adapter, the computer shuts off .

Oneday, after my previous study breaks, for I go to my home, remove a chromebooks charger.

But after that, chromebook suddenly goes out..

So I pick up the charger again, fortunately, chromebook is recharge, but system is reboot..

After that, chromebook is not booted before picking up the charger,

and recently battery marking in the chromebook is smoothly down..

How to repair that?..

My Toshiba Chromebook 2 Screen backlight is too dark.

I have turned the brightness up.

I have plugged it into the tv and the laptop still works fine.

I have taken it to get looked at and they said that they tried a screen replacement and it didn't work.

I have seen videos of people fixing it and even read a guide on here about it.

My question is, Is it possible that something may have burned out on the motherboard? would that effect the screen in anyway? I would have thought if the mother board was damaged it would have not turned on or charge.

If anyone can help, I'd really appretiate it:)
