Xbox One Wireless Controller Model 1708: Xbox says controller is disconnected

My Xbox continually says that my controller is disconnecting, even though the light on the controller is still on. I’ve used 3 controller, multiple batteries. I’ve used the USB port in the xbox to charge the controller and it still happens. I’m not exactly sure if this is an Xbox issue or a controller problem. I ordered a new xbox controller and its currently on the way so maybe that will fix it. But any idea will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Xbox Series X Wireless Controller: I have probably damaged the vias on a 1914 controller.

Hello,

Trying to remove the left joystick from the PCB has gone bad, due to the lack of experience ( my first attempt ever ) and improper tools, it ended up in damaging the vias (if that is what those holes are) and at this moment, I don't know if anything else. The question is, is this something fixable, and if yes, how? I have attached some pictures with the damage, the silver and copper rings are damaged or missing from several vias. Also, do you think the silver rectangle from the last screenshot is damaged also? I did not interfere with it, but I think I may have used to much heat on the soldering iron.

Thanks!

Xbox One Wireless Controller Model 1708: Why won’t my controller work with batteries but works with usb

Hello everyone

Earlier today I was attempting to do a shell replacement on one of these and I had thought everything was going well for it. All the buttons worked turns on well and I had forgotten to test the batteries. No problem I tried to plug batteries in and no luck. Plug the usb cable in with the batteries it turns on and unplugging the controller with the batteries in keeps it going until the battery is taken out. I took it apart again and tried looking for something that was incorrect. The only thing I found was a factory defect I think anyway of this square over by the where the dpad is located on the board there are two points that look bridged on it. Could this be my issue or am I looking completely in the wrong spot. My other concern was the battery not making contact properly but like I mentioned earlier it works after I jumpstart it with a usb cable so I don’t think it is that.

Xbox One Wireless Controller Model 1708: New 1708 motherboard, no USB support bracket installed.

I received this bottom motherboard from ifixit today and upon inspection of the board prior to installation I noticed a few things.

1) The factory surface mount USB port utilizes a support bracket / bridge that is connected to the port as well as the board itself. Why did my "new" board not come with one installed? I have a few spares but did not want to install them if the supplied USB port is somehow more efficiently supported without it. The circled area of the attached pic shows where the support would normally be as well as its solder points.

2) This may be ignorance due to being fairly new to soldering but where the rear legs of the USB port normally penetrate the board, there is no penetration nor do I see any solder on the pad they would normally attach to. Are the legs simply cut short and soldered to the inside of the board before penetrating through to the back? Please note the circled areas of pic-2 for reference.

Pic-3 illustrates what the factory USB port and support bracket look like.
