iPhone 4S: How to kick iPhone out of recovery mode?

I have a huge problem. My 4S was on iOS 5.1.1, jailbroken. It worked fine for a few months, until one day I left it charging through the night and woke up to find the phone stuck in "searching" mode. After an extensive search on the internet, I upgraded to iOS 6.0.1. This fixed my problem for a couple of weeks. After that, the phone displayed "searching" again. I tried restoring the phone, but it gives me error -1, in the about section. I can't see my IMEI number, and my modem firmware is blank.

I figured there's something wrong with the baseband chip, but then I tried restoring via redsn0w to iOS 6.0.1—and after the restore, the phone worked again. I have restored my phone 23 times since then—but out of those, only 3 were successful in getting back my signal—and then I lose it again if I charge my phone via charger or PC. If the baseband chip is damaged, then how come it works? It's version is 3.0.4, I think. Please help, as now I'm stuck in recovery mode and keep getting an error -1 after the phone reaches the final "updating iPhone baseband" step in the update.

iPhone 4S: iPhone 4S display black and constant vibrating (sounds) when charging?

I was repairing an iPhone 4S for someone and all went well. I reassembled it and turned it on, but the screen was black. At first I thought the battery was flat, but the phone was on and working (the CPU warmed up etc. etc.) I plugged it into my computer and it makes the sound that any iOS7.x.x makes when you start charging it. Thing is it makes this sound every 10 seconds or so as if i'm plugging and unplugging it. The screen is still black all through this. I assumed that the LCD was dead. (at this point I'd tried cleaning the connections, reseating the connections, blowing the phone out with an air canister, restarting the phone, resetting the phone. (I haven't restored it as it's not mine and refuse to do it without permission for obvious reasons). None of this has worked. I gave up and fixed a few more things by this point the battery had ran dead and I plugged in a new 4S screen that I had lying around. I held down the lock button and it worked, the phone showed the "needed charging" icon so I plugged it in and let it charge for 30 minutes. I came back and all was working well, so I unplugged that screen and plugged in the installed one, and truth be told the screen was black again. I plugged in the other screen and it was black too. I tried 2 more (cracked but working) screens and they were black also. I replaced the battery and it was still black. If it was a faulty LCD why would it not work with the other screens? If it was a damaged motherboard why would it work, not work, work, then not work again? I'm baffled. It's also recognised in iTunes, but has a password (which I have, but I don't know exactly what I'm pressing so unlocking it is a pain)! Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is the first time it's happened and i've fixed probably 40 iPhone 4S's. Thanks in advance! :)

iPhone 4S: Bottom screws won't come out, just spin in place.

After replacing the battery and back cover on my iPhone 4S, I replaced the pentalobe screws on the bottom of the phone with phillips screws from the iFixit liberation kit.

I'm having two problems:

1) The screws are not flush with the bottom edge of the phone and won't go in any farther. They are almost all the way in, but not quite.

2) The screws won't come out. I can turn them clockwise or counterclockwise, but they don't go in or out. They just spin in place.

Neither of these is a big problem right now, though I'd prefer that the screws go all the way in and sit flush. My concern is that I can't open up the phone if I need to make another repair in the future.

Any idea what is going on here? Is there anything I can do about it?

iPhone 4S: Screen colors all messed up after dropping it

I was unfortunetaly very clumsy today and dropped my Iphone 4S. Even though it had a thick case on the top right corner got a scratch and now the screen shows messed up colors. At first it was all white and I could only see the date at the top. Now I can kinda use it but it's hard to see well and a part of the screen doesn't show at the right bottom. The screen isn't shattered so I'm guessing it's a more internal problem, right? I don't know what to do as it's a phone I bought at Apple store in Canada and I now live in Thailand where there is no official Apple store. I'm still under a regular 1 year warranty. Can somebody advise me what to do? I'm very worried and don't have any friends with IT knowledge here...

Thanks,

iPhone 4S: Stuck in DFU Mode Error 4014! - Itunes Detects recovery mode.

I have looked everywhere for an answer on this and have had no results.

I replaced the screen in the IPhone 4s yesterday, After about 10minutes being plugged into itunes. The display went off and when I tried to turn it back on ITunes flagged it in DFU.

I replaced the screen with full esd earthing so I know I haven't static shocked the board.

I have sinsce tested the screen in another IPHONE 4s and the screen is working correctly, So I know the screen has not damaged the board.

However this has been previously repaired via another team so who knows.

I have no display or life from the phone.

Things I Have tried.

Restore/Update + IPSW Recovery on Laptop Win8

Restore/UPdate + IPSW Recovery on Pc Windows 7

Apple store( Premium resller ) Restore MAC .

These all resorted in error 4014.

I have tired several differnt cables.

I have tired a new Dock connecter cable.

I have tried 3 different batteries.

TinyUmbrella Will not Detect as itis DFU.

RedSn0W will not work correctly as in DFU.

ReiB00t also will not detect.

ITunes Re-installed.

Host file altered in windows.

Anti - Virus disabled etcetc.

Iphone was getting extremely hot during the recoverys.

Even though everywhere says this fault is a connection issue. Am I right in thinking this is probably a logic fault and is not fixable.

The last thing I am trying now is fully charging the battery in another Iphone 4s ( So I can monitor the charge ) Then I'll put it back into the " Dead " iphone and try and recover.

HELP!

I replaced screen, now phone will not start up, when i plug it in it vibrates continuously, but screen won't come on. iTunes recognises it. the power on/off button needs replacing, but did not affect operation previously to screen change (screen was cracked, but still working).

I have tried all connections 3 times and can't see anything wrong. I have tried 2 screens on the the first one did not work and i thought it was faulty, so I used another screen, I connected it all up to check the screen would work, before i screwed it all back together, it came on and worked fine, so I screwed it all down and now it won't work, just vibrates when plugged in.

iPhone 4S: Constant charging / sync / startup sound but no display no boot

Hi, I've purchased a iPhone 4S off ebay with the aim of fixing it. It is in great condition inside and out, however won't turn on or boot and there is no display. When plugged into the wall socket it just makes the charging chirp sound over and over again, but that is all. When plugged into a computer it does nothing, no show in iTunes. All the seller was able to say was that he tried to fix the screen and it worked before that, but couldn't get it to work properly after that. Any ideas what could be wrong, what needs to be replaced? If it was just a faulty screen shouldn't the phone still charge and why is it making the constant sound?

iPhone 4S: Microphone not working ONLY on video recording DX HELP!

I'm pretty confused and somewhat dismayed. I have just repaired my friend's mom's screen on her broken iPhone 4S. The screen works beautifully, can make calls and receive calls, and hear the microphone on both ends. Voice memos work. Now, the problem is, as I am about to give the phone back to my friend to give to his mom, it is not fully working. The microphone does not work properly when recording a video. I have searched and searched and searched for a solution or a similar problem as to this, nothing. The dismaying part is that I am going to be assertive and tell him what is wrong with it, and not leave it unfinished. Without a solution, I am very upset with my work as I try to handle something like this in the most professional manner. I am very very confused and would really like some advice, I don't even know which microphone to replace, or if it even is a microphone?? it shouldn't be because the microphone works! Someone, with experience please respond! is there an ifixit phone number I can call?
