iPhone 6s: Verticle Lines and touchscreen not working (no drop)

Hi before I got on the subway this morning I put my phone in my pocket. Got on the subway and went to check my emails and the screen has verticle white and grey lines on it, and the touch sensor is no longer working. All other buttons work and it still gets notifications, vibrates, rings, etc. Any idea what caused this and if it is a free repair from apple? It had a cracked screen but the phone has been working fine with that for over 3 months so I do not believe it is related

iPhone 6s: iPhone randomly resets itself

My iphone 6s always had the latest update installed however occasionally it resets itself. It happens while using the phone or while it's locked. It can happen while it's charging or while it's connected to my computer for sync. Sometimes it locks and I can't press or do anything and a few seconds later I see some random colors on the display and then it resets itself.

Sometimes, in the morning it asks for my "passkey after restart" so I know it has restarted itself during the night. These episodes seem to happen completely random, I haven't been able to re-produce them intentionally.

My phone is still within the 12 month warranty from apple but I don't know how the problem might be replicated if I send this in for warranty.

Any advice on how I could narrow this down? Maybe there are some logs that I could read to find out what happens? I'm afraid that if I send it in for warranty and it does not reset itself while in the technician hands they might send it back with no problem found.

I am windows user so I am looking under "AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\" and I'm seeing lots of log files but I'm not sure where to look more precisely.

iPhone 6s: iPhone 6s battery smell

So as the ifixit guide suggests I tried to use dental floss along with the tools in the kit to pry it out.
iPhone 6s: Why can't you buy a 6s digitizer without the LCD?

Hello. I'm new to repairing phones, so this may be a silly question, but why is it so difficult to buy the iPhone 6s digitizer without the LCD?

I've replaced a broken screen on an old iPhone 3GS, and the replacement digitizer I bought didn't have the LCD attached, I had to transfer it from the old display.

I would imagine that a digitizer without an LCD would be substantially cheaper than one with the LCD, so why can't I find any? Is it impossible to remove the LCD in the 6s? Is there a time period after a new iPhone is released in which you can't buy the digitizer separately? Or is there some other reason?

Thanks in advance.

iPhone 6s: Is there a way to test the ambient light sensor?

I have recently had to replace my FCAM/Sensor assembly (my ear piece audio went out) and was able to use an app to test the proximity sensor but there is no such ability with the ambient light sensor. I move from a well light room to a dark room and don't notice any difference but I never really payed any attention in the past so can't really tell if this would be noticeable. Is there any way to test this? or even create a situation when where the shift in brightness should be clearly apparent?

iPhone 6s: Need battery replaced but not sure...

I tried to have Apple replace my battery, but they refused because they claim my screen is aftermarket. I am in dire need of a new battery but now I am worried about having it done because of all the crap (and it very likely was) they told me about how the new battery would cause screen issues etc. I bought the phone 2nd hand, and the screen performance is excellent. Is there any reason for me to sweat over having the battery replaced by a reputable local shop? And what liability does the shop have, if the operation DOES cause problems with my device?
