iPhone 6s: iPhone 6s display black but showing up in iTunes.

Ok this is my sisters old iPhone 6s and she’s messed it up pretty bad. She stood on a wall and threw it onto grass, the screen popped out went black.

I ordered a new screen and weirdly replacing it didn't not fix it, its not the backlight the screen si completely off. there are no system sounds or vibrations, but ti shows up in finder on my Mac. I restored it and it failed, error 9. This was the first time it lit up (it showed the recovery screen). I tried to restore again and it worked. The phone is now activated and in normal mode and detected by my computer. There are still not sounds, vibrations or screen.

I have changed the screen, battery and dock connector and that didn’t fix it. I DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY FIRST WITH EVERY REPAIR.

Any ideas what’s wrong with it? :)

iPhone 6s: Loud static noise from bottom microphone when recording or calling

Hi!

One week ago I replaced my Lightning connector because the older one wasn't charging anymore. After I reassembled everything and turned on my iPhone I found that when sending vocal messages on Whatsapp, recording on Vocals memo a static noise is present, sometimes it gets louder and sometimes it is almost imperceptible. Not only, I found that during calls the receiver hears a strange noise, like the one made by jackhammers. After that, I tried 3 new connectors bought from different shops online, but I had the same problem every time and I still have the same problem.

Edit:

I found out when calling with Wi-Fi only (cellular data off) the jackhammer noise doesn't exist, confirmed by the receiver, but a loud whistle is heard by both at the start of the call.

Can someone help me to find out what's happening?

This problem is haunting me.

Thanks in advance,

iPhone 6s: Changed the battery on my wife's 6s, and now she has "no service" mess

Changed the battery on my wife’s 6s (iFixit kit), and now she has “no service” message and can’t make or receive calls. Took phone to Target (where we bought the phones and set up our Consumer Cellular accounts, and Best Buy for a “geek support” visit, and both places told us you can’t replace the batteries in 6s phones, or you will lose service, and it can’t be reset. They both suggested getting new SE phones, that we need 5G, not 4g devices, as service providers (T-Mobile, our carrier) are no longer supplying signals to 3G or 4G devices like the iPhone 6s. I’m very frustrated, and trying to get an appointment at our local Apple store, for a Genius Bar appointment. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

iPhone 6s: NFC (Apple Pay) screw hole damaged

Hello,

I replaced the On/Off/Volume strip in iPhone 6S. However, during the repair, I inadvertently damaged one of the two screw holes securing the NFC bracket (screwed it too tight, it cracked and fell off the motherboard). After that, Apple Pay stopped to work and I’m struggling to find a solution.

I read this topic: ApplePay no longer works (NFC antenna?)) which was helpful for me. However, because I damaged one of the screw holes, my case is different.

Below are photos of the damage:

What I can do to fix NFC? I was thinking of two solutions:

soldering the silver part of the NFC bracker directly to the motherboard (there is a little bolt in the motherboard in place of the missing screw hole). But I’m afraid this will be really difficult.

soldering/connecting the silver part of the NFC bracket to the silver panel covering cable connectors to the front panel (with 4 screws, directly below NFC bracker). I was trying to understand how this NFC bracket works and I suspect that there is a current flowing from motherboard (silver part of the NFC bracket) to the housing (screwed together with the back camera cover). So, my idea was to replace the source of current from motherboard (the original, damaged screw hole) to another source of current from the same motherboard. However, I had no success so far.

Everything else is working, especially Wifi, Bluetooth, 3G/4G, etc.

Is there something I can do to fix NFC?

iPhone 6s: Vertical and horizontal lines on the screen after a drop

Some days ago, I dropped my iPhone 6S. It wasn't a high drop (less than a meter/less than three feet), but the screen got destroyed: the glass is slightly cracked on the top, the left part of the screen is almost completely black, and there are lines all over the screen. The screen also looks very pixeled.

The horizontal lines are only on the top of the screen, the vertical ones change position depending on what’s displayed. The touch screen responds without any problem on every part.

I tried to disconnect and reconnect the display, but the lines are still there. I was wondering if it’s just the screen or the logic board got damaged too. Inside there’s no visible damage.
