iPhone 6s: Screen replacement home button wobble

I am having an issue with the home button wobbling/sliding/sticking after replacing the screen on an iPhone 6s. I read the question ‘iPhone 6S home button "sticking" after screen replacement’, and it similar, but also different. If I tighten the screws on the plate that holds the home button in place, it makes it such that the button won’t depress. So, I loosened the screws and bent it a little and the button will depress, but it wobbles/slides around a bit. Now, if I put the screen back together all the way and tighten the screws that are by the lightning port, then the button becomes too tight again and won’t depress. Is it possible that the opening for the home button in the screen is too small (just a tiny bit)? If so, should I/can I enlarge the hole?

Thanks,

Rob

iPhone 6s: touchID not working after replacing my screen?

I am learning on old broken phones I have at home, and I ordered a screen from amazon which works perfectly and I can’t actually tell any difference, I successfully transferred the ambient light, front camera and the phone speaker which all work, but while transferring the home button the touchID function will not work - I’ve read a bit into it and understand that the cable can be easily ripped like paper, will replacing the home button fix the issue of touchID not working as the home button itself works.

iPhone 6s: iPhone 6s Black Screen After Screen Replacement

I recently got an iPhone 6s with a pretty badly damaged screen. The screen worked, however it was completely cracked and there was a black bleed mark on the LCD. I ordered a screen and began replacing it.

After replacing the screen and hooking everything back up to the logic board I got a black screen. I absolutely made sure to disconnect the battery before ever touching any other part of the phone. I have also tried connecting it to iTunes and got as far as it asking for the passcode which I cannot enter as the screen does not work.

Now here's where it gets hairy and I'm stuck, after looking through the various other similar questions I attempted to test if thew screen was bad by replacing the severely cracked screen, which I knew worked. After taking all the assembly parts off the new screen and putting them back on and trying to plug it in, I got nothing.

It's still being recognized by iTunes, but now no matter which screen I have plugged in I get a black screen. I have a sinking feeling it's going to require board level repair (which I can't do, yet) but I'm hoping maybe someone here can see something I can't.

If there's something you think may help me get this problem remedied or you need more information on what all I did to it, just ask and I'll happily provide more info. Thanks everyone.

iPhone 6s: Why can't I get out of the "connect to iTunes" section?

Okay, so this is a long story, but please bear with me because I’m helpless.

I have an iPhone 6s. A week or so ago, the screen was completely shattered and the screen began to press into the touch screen below it; the phone then began to type in random passwords all the time. After a night or so, the phone said “iPhone is disabled. Connect to iTunes.” I couldn’t do anything about it because of the screen. Today, I got my screen fixed and the phone still said Connect to iTunes. I plugged it into my HP laptop computer with multiple chords but it didn’t connect. I’m not sure which device is the issue. The computer will accept any other USB, and the iPhone is accepting any other computer. So the issue is, I cannot connect to iTunes to restore my phone. I cannot use the iTunes website to start up my phone because I need a confirmation code… which would be sent to my phone, so I couldn’t see it. I have not logged into any other device with my iTunes. I had it factory reset but it still says connect to iTunes. What can I do???

(sorry about how confusing it is.)

iPhone 6s: Proximity and ambient light sensor

Hi everyone, I have a problem with the proximity sensor and the ambient light sensor of my white iphone 6s. I replaced the front panel with a non-OEM part. at first the proximity sensor did not work. with an indelible marker I obscured the sensor housing and worked. if I make a call and then put the phone to my ear, the display goes off. if I receive a call and the phone is on the table, when I put it to the ear the display goes off. if instead I receive a call and take the phone out of my pocket and put it to my ear, the display will not turn off. I did a test: if I receive a call and I cover the proximity sensor before answering, the display will not turn off. if, however, I cover the ambient light sensor before answering, the display on call will turn off. if I receive a call and the phone is in my pocket, I answer, press the home button and then return to the call, the display if I put the phone to my ear, goes off. what could be the defect? thank you all

iPhone 6s: Touch ID not working properly after screen replacement

I have been repairing phone for several years and always use the original home button but I recently replaced a screen on an iPhone 6s for a customer. I tested everything and it all seemed fine. The customer emailed me the next day to tell me that Touch ID wasn’t working. I have checked all the connections and tried several screens but it still isn’t working. I know that usually if the button isn’t working properly it says ‘unable to active Touch ID on this device’ but this isn’t here. I tried to register a new finger print but it keeps saying ‘Keep finger in home button until told to lift’ even if you keep your finger there. I am totally baffled and have a very unhappy customer. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
