-okay your motherboard is a HP part number 500755-001 and listed as a 6050172227701.AO2 From your images, #3 is a VIA VT8237S which is your Southbridge IC. It is responsible for things like your keyboard, USB ports and connectivity in general. The 4th image is a VIA CN896 which is your Northbridge and its responsibilities are video related like connection to your display etc. In your case that is most likely the IC that is giving you trouble. As of now I have not managed to find a schematic but will continue to look for one.
