Carlos, check what applications are running in the background. turn off al unnecessary software. You did not tell us which OS you are running so I can not give you concrete on how or what to turn off. You want to check your hard drive space. Make sure that the drive is not to full. Leave ~20% of free space. Use a defragmenter to defrag your drive. delete all your temp files and check your computers registry. There are multiple software solutions to that, but they are depending on your OS. Check your RAM, make sure that you have the right amount and are not running to much on the lean side.

There are plenty of more things you should check on but we would need what OS you have. Hope this helps, good luck.
