How to repair broken plastic around CD drive?

After years of resting my right hand beside the trackpad and on the casing, the plastic surround above the CD drive has broken - at the edge nearest to the trackpad.

Maybe this is a just a drop-of-super-glue job, but surely someone has 'been there done and done that'.
