I just replaced the trackpad on my MBP and all works fine except the keyboard backlight. The F5/F6 keys show the adjustment icon on the display but still no light. I've reopened the case, verified all connectors and cannot seem to where the problem might be.
Is the power for the backlight run through the keyboard ZIF connector under the cable cover? I've verified that all the keyboard keys work, which makes me think the ZIF connector is OK.
