Which components to turn a IBM x60 into a modern laptop?

본문:

The IBM X60, the first and best laptop I have had, has a 32-bits CPU (i686), 1.5 GB of RAM and a bit slow SATA I interface. It is a [https://www.cnet.com/products/lenovo-thinkpad-x60-1707-12-1-core-duo-t2300-win-xp-pro-1-gb-ram-40-gb-hdd-series/specs/|X60-1707].

I am looking for components so the upgrade will make it support:

* 64-bits processors
* 8 GB of RAM
* SATA III SSDs

Of course, I guess I will have to get through several difficulties :

* physical dimensions and constraints (ports, fans and screws location...)
* interface with existing hardware (LEDs, buttons,keyboard, USB ports...)

But I am only guessing since I have never done this before.

So I am asking the experts: '''which motherboard can fit in'''? May I have an Intel i3 ?

Thanks!

I've read that many of old IBM laptops are limited in upgrade capabilities due to their chipset. (example thread here: [post|287880])

This is the same for the wonderful but i686

Thus the question becomes "which motherboard to fit in this beautiful, tiny 11" body"?

It should be
