Brayden, if you want my honest opinion…this is not something you should follow through on if your goal is to actually repair this phone on a budget. If your goal is to learn, then go for it. Your question shows that you really do not have the proper tools, consumables and experience in micro-soldering and that you will probably muck things up more than anything else. I don’t say this to be harsh, just to save you time and money. If you really want this phone to work and quickly, let someone else do it. That said, I don’t think you should be investing money on a water damaged device. I don’t know any techs that actually fix water damaged devices, they can have all kinds of latent issues and are a warranty nightmare. Now, to be fair, if you want to learn then you will need a hot air gun, paste flux, good tweezers…and tons of practice on dead boards before ever attempting to repair a valuable device on your first try.
