Hey Folks,
I was given an older Sony Bravia TV. Everything works except the HDMI ports. I get VGA, Component. and Antenna. I can even use a RCA to HDMI adapter and it works although it looks pretty bad. Whenever I plug ANY hdmi device (firestick, PS3, xbox, etc). I get a message that says “unsupported signal check your device output”. I’ve searched tons of solutions but none are applicable to the problem I am having since it is with every hdmi device I plug in and in both ports.
Could it be a hardware issue? Failing capacitor, loose solder joint, etc? I am completely at a loss.
I’m just looking to use it with my firestick. I know its an old TV, but id like to use it.
Any suggestions/guidance would be greatly appreciated.
