In terms of the logic board connectivity, the only difference I see is that a small connector that was to the right of the speaker connector in the 500 MHz version is moved to the back of the board near the fan connector. But I can't for the life of me figure out what, if anything, actually goes in that connector!!! Apple is known for random unused connectors on logic boards. This may be another instance of an unused connector.
The board is shaped slightly differently, however, so [product|150059|this frame] is necessary (the one for the 700 Opaque/800/900 MHz machines).
