Hello Kami, I just had a couple of ideas you might want to try. If I understand correct your monitor will enter sleep and then you have to reboot your PC, but you can see it from remote desktop. The first thing I would do would be to try a different port on your graphics card, different cable, different input on your monitor (if you have multiple), different monitor (if you have an extra). I would also maybe check for new drivers from [link|https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/198796/en-us/|Nvidia|new_window=true]. However if your using DisplayPort, I would check the cable first; as the cable could be losing connection, which would explain why remote desktop can see it, and the reason you would have to reboot is because DisplayPort is not hotswap.
