You absolutely can take the screen off of the other one and put it on there. But the one thing I will tell you that you must do is you have to take the touch ID button off of the broken screen and replace that on the news screen the buttons are synced to the motherboard and chips. Just know whatever the unlocked iPad is is exactly what you will get and then if you want a tight seal on the screen you must buy the adhesive to make it waterproof again you would take the screen off with a hair dryer and suction cups. I know for a fact this works I've done it before.
