doing a search on this "Toshiba Satellite C850 error code 43" has a number of ideas. Basically, error 43 means that Windows isn't detecting the device.

Could be bad drivers, or a hardware issue. Eliminate the driver issue first. Then test with other devices. If none of that works, you have  something broke on the motherboard.
