LG TV no screen after storm

My LG 32NL575v TV's screen no longer works since a recent thunder storm.[br]
The sound is OK but nothing from the screen, not even faint when checking with a flashlight.[br]
I have the back off and there's no visible damage to any components. It could be the T-Con board and replacements are available. Just wondering if there's a way to test it before buying.[br]
Any help appreciated.
