Oh it's absolutely replaceable. No matter what Consumer Cellular says. But as far as I can tell this isn't a repair anyone is endeavoring. Most tablets are not designed for easy repair. And I expect it might be tricky to find a replacement part (an exact one anyway).
I wasn't able to find any videos or documentation on how to take this apart but I imagine it will be very similar to most tablets. Either housing is held together with plastic clips, or everything is stuck together with adhesive. If it was made by Asus though, it may be based on some other hardware and just has a custom loaded OS (or custom Android skin) on it instead of the more typical Android. Trying to poke around at Asus to see if I am finding something equivalent, but not having much luck.
