gary, if your screen is hard to see, but your camera otherwise functions okay, I would replace the LCD. Even a camera LCD has a backlight and it is possible that this is no longer working. Of course it is possible that the backlight driver on your logic board has failed, but this is less likely and also more expensive and harder to fix. Go with a new LCD first.
