I downloaded the updated ios 6 onto my ipod touch 4g and now the ipod is not working . I connected to computer to restore , but still isn't working. The Apple logo is on the screen and that's it. I can't get any further. What's up ?

Try holding down "home button + power" for a few seconds and it should reset and boot up.
If this fails you can try to put the device in DFU mode (will erase everything on device)
1) open Itunes and connect device to computer.
2) hold home + power for 10 seconds and release only the power button while still holding the home button down.
3) Itunes should signify the the device is in DFU mode (recovery mode)
4) run restore and try and see if your device works.
