Bluray Lens doesn't move or read discs

I'm new to the PS3 Super Slim and the Bluray lens doesn't move or read discs. I'm wondering if there's any way to reset the bluray lens or anything that I can try to fix this issue. The PS3 is only a month old.

Hi Jordan,

I've read alot about the new PS3 super slim having a flawed design under the hood and also uses fairly cheap and flimsy components.

I would recommend that you make use of your 1 year warranty since you've only had it for a month and its not reading blueray disc, does it read game's disc?

maybe the lens has dust particles set on it and would need cleaning with appropriate lens cleaner spray.

Sony or your vendor should replace it under your warranty.

Yes, I believe it is built at a lesser quality then it's predecessors. I think I will go with using the warranty I just don't like the fact that you get a refurbished one back. I just thought maybe there was something out there that I didn't know. I've done lots of research and honestly was surprised that I couldn't find any videos on many issues.

Thanks again for your help I will most likely replace it through that warranty.
