hi, i had the 60 GB hard Drive on my laptop and bought from IFIXIT teh 120 GB hard drive (manufactured by Samsung for the MacBook Air) after the installation the laptop's performance became VERY slow so i had to replace back my old 60 GB HD. does anyone know why his may have happened? Thank you

It could be several things. Try de-fragmenting and optimizing the files and volumes on the hard drive. Reinstall the system. Do a force quit to see what's running in the background and turn off anything that is. Change the view option and turn off size. What speed was the old drive and what speed is the new drive? How full are the drives?

We can only speculate the reasons as there could anything behind the slow performance of the computer. Since you installed a new drive the performance should increase rather than going down. Chances are very low that New HDD which you got had some manufacturing defects like bad sectors. Did you tried a reinstallation of the OS X, may be that have fixed the issues.
