After soldering battery connector, stuck in red battery charging mode

I water damaged my phone and knew that most of the time changing the front screen with fix this as it is usually only the LCD that break not the motherboard. When I went to take apart phone I ripped the battery connector off. :(

I looked around on google and everywhere else I could find. I ended up but plugging in without battery to a computer through the USB and it was stuck in boot logo sequence (normal). So I tried plugging into my ipad wall charger without battery and it turned on, and went to the connect to iTunes screen.

I decided then that I just needed to get power back from battery so I soldered the connector back on. Plugged in battery and connected to charger on computer. It then showed it was charging with the red battery and charging symbol underneath. I left it on overnight and it did not charge nor did the computer read my iPhone. With the solder I do not believe and two are touching but I was wondering if maybe one wasn't fully connected and disallowing my battery to charge.

What is the problem, anyone? Any ideas?

PLEASE HELP, IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT PRONGS DO WHAT, JUST ANYTHING CAN HELP

ps. Lock button is jammed -.- I cannot reset or put in DFU mode

Update

I found out my own answer! I do not have much of an explanation but I touched up my soldering today and made sure the connections were really good. Voila! It is up and running like nothing even happened. I am guessing the solder was a bad connection and it was making the battery not charge and cause problems to other stuff.

UPDATE! : I got a friend to come over and I tried my battery in his phone, it wouldn't charge. I assume this is a battery problem.

BUT here's the serious problem now, I put his battery in my phone and then back in his phone, his phone went into connect to iTunes and then when connected said their was a problem. -.- put the phone in recovery mode and plugged into iTunes then unplugged and now it works. Serious mind #%$k. I am going to buy a new battery for my phone and hope it works. Will let you readers know.

I advise caution, you may or may not have created a short along the battery connection circuit.

This can redirect power back to a battery causing it to "explode" or become unusable. Putting his battery into your ipod may have set off some internal battery check that your phone inflicted to his battery. Putting it in recovery mode and plugging it back in probably reassured your friends device the power issue was no longer apparent.

I would think you need to re-evaluate your soldering / connections. Make sure you do not have any open / shorted circuits. Clean soldering work using flux will ensure this doesn't happen. I am willing to bet that if you clean your board up, redo the solder and cut down how much you use the next time, plus the addition of a decent flux, should provide the connection you need for your device to operate normally.

Good luck!
