Battery or motherboard problems.

Hi, I have big problem and I can't find answer anywhere...

I have dropped my iPhone 4s on the solid floor and after that I can't turn it on. When I plug iPhone to computer I get apple logo blinking (it seems that iPhone is restarting again and again..). First I thought that's hardware problem. I tried everything reds0w, DFU mode, restore mode, iTunes restore...

Then I pulled out the battery and I saw that it's the same without it. I measured the battery voltage, I get 4.2 volts, then I measured it on the connector I get 0.3 volts. Moreover then I placing back battery I getting smokes from this component (it's black and looks like as a piece of glass) http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/665/2... . I want to repair it by myself, but I don't know how to. I think you understand me. Sorry for bad English. Thanks for help.

the part that you are referring to is a Low On-Resistance, Slew-Rate-Controlled Load Switch. Get the datasheet from here. It is part of the Baseband PMU. It appears that either this IC is broken, or lost contact as well as there is a possibility that one of the components the contribute to this circuit have failed. You could try and replace the FPF1039, if you know how to reball a BGU. This is a board level repair and requires special tools and special skills, if you have neither of those, I recommend you stay away from the DIY and get the phone professionally repaired. Hope this helps, good luck.
