I just received my XBOX back recently from Microsoft due to the E-74 issue. I have been playing it with no issues for over a week but just last night I no longer have sound. I have tested the tv and rechecked the cables with no results. Any possible fix for this?

Are you using HD cables? try turning the "HD" switch off, then reboot it, and see if sound is back.

Audio can cut out based on heat stress issues on the motherboard. I've seen it numerous times. The heat stress usually causes 3 red lights, but it can do this. Complain loudly to MS warranty (1 800 4MY XBOX).
The answer above mine is worth a shot of course, try that first.
