Hi,
I read many informations here and on internet about how to start and test Logic board from my MacBook but haven't found anywhere informations for my modele : early 2011 MacBook pro a1297 i7 2.2ghz 17"
(water damage, Logic board cleaned and keyboard and start button probably dead...)
Could someone help me please ?
Tank you.

G'day there: I'm currently dealing with the same problem, the result of an unknown white coffee spill.
AAPL cancelled my warranty (18 months to run!) but I'm now free to, and have applied, a coating of an anti-corrosive which aslo serves as a moisture repellant (in Oz, RE-ACT was used, and there are others.) Which, if I had been permitted to do while under warranty, would have stopped damage. Actually, the spill only caused a couple of sticky keys, everything else was OK. I must be losing my touch, what with the pwr sw now U/S.
Anyhow, I too am looking for these power-switch bypass points on a MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.2 15" Early 2011, MC723LL/A - MacBookPro8,2 - A1286 - 2353-1*, (et al - why do we putup with their impossible filing system?)
On my logic board there is nothing resembling twin pads, certainly none that this retired radio tach would care to short willy-nilly.
So, if anyone has a link to a 'MacBook Pro 15" early-2011, AAPL tech's manual', it would be most appreciated.
Cheers
Jen
