Help, Spilled non-alcoholic beer on my late 2010 MacBook air 13"?

This happened a week ago. I spilled non-alcoholic beer right on the vent under the screen, the liquid seeped in as I was lifting my laptop off the floor to turn it upside down, but it suddenly shut down...

It has been a week now and my mac is dead with no response. The only sort of thing which works is that when I connect the charger, it shows as green for the first 5-10 seconds, then it turns orange.

I have just placed an order for a T5 screw driver, a Pentalobe screwdriver, and a spudger. How should I proceed ?

Use the tags on the right to find Answers that can prepare you for your project. At this point you have little to lose by trying any thing up to and including completely removing the logic board and trying to clean it.

You may be lucky by examining the board for corrosion or burn marks. You might only have to remove and clean some contacts/connectors (use a soft bristle brush and dielectric contact cleaner - give it plenty of time to dry (days not minutes or hours) worst case scenario is you need to replace the logic board.
