No DIsplay after replacing screen

I replaced the screen in my iPod touch after removing it to remove a broken headphone jack. Once reassembled the screen does not come on but the iPod works . I just cant see what the heck I am doing!

Is it recognized in iTunes? May be the LCD is disconnected/damaged.
