I have bought a second hand iPhone 4S, everything is function except when making a phone call, we cannot hear each other side voice! Even I put on speaker phone mode! And the mic works when using recording apps. I have also updated the latest iOS 6.1.3
Which IC is control this function ?

there are two mics on the iphone... one located on the dock connector and one at the top under the motherboard... the mic under the motherboard is the mic used to intake sound while recording videos and sounds on apps while the mic on the dock connector is used to intake sound during calls... the mic on the dock connector needs to be replaced and luckily does not require total dismantle of the iphone... you need to buy the whole dock connector part which is extremely cheap...
