I am trying to replace an iPhone 4S screen and the new screen refuses to sit flush with the phone. I thoroughly cleaned everything and removed broken glass but it still won't fit. It lines up fine with all the pins. The problem occurs along the top. Either the left side or right side will be slightly raised. It refuses to sit flat. Any suggestions?

Is the ear piece mesh perfectly in place and flat? Is the front camera clear plastic ring holder perfectly in place? Are the flex cables installed through the midframe perfectly, not caught up and pinched behind the front screen? You could remove the adhesive stip, this will help get rid of all the glass shards and debris. Check that everything is perfect, everything should fit easily in place.
