Hi, I have a macbook Core Duo 1.83ghz, upgraded to 2gb ram and 500gb sata hard disk. I was using it for a few weeks and one night after i shut it down it wont boot up the next morning. I left it there for the day and in the evening, without moving it or doing anything to it i was able to boot it up.
It went well for a few days and again after I shut it down for another night it wont boot again. totally no sound, no lights.

What color is the Mag-Safe plug (Green or Orange)? What does the Battery tester on the battery tell you is all of the LED's lit or only a few? Is this a fairly new battery?
When you waited the first time and tried again in starting up your system did you need to press the peer button a few times or did it go on as if there was not issues?
What happens when you remove the battery and with only the power adapter plugged in, was it able to start?
Do you hear anything when you try to start the system?
