Recently my Aspire 5532 laptop screen has been playing up. It keeps on turning black and flickering when it is on. Today the a little bit of the bottom right hand corner (where the time is shown) has completely blacked itself out, like the edge of a piece of paper when you burn it, and it is really hot when I touch it.
What's wrong with it?

Could be a bad LCD as well as a bad cable. Attache an external monitor and see what you get. Also, it might help if you post an image of your LCD with your question.
