Plastic display cover scratched
Is the any possibility to exchange the plastic cover of the Display if it is scratched?
Old ipads hand glas instead of plastic :-(

Ok, sorry. Seems to be very thin glass...even if it feels like platic :-)

Hi Dan,
Unfortunatelly the new ipad Air is plastic covered on the Display .
This is the reason why its so light :-)
But also more scratch sensitive....idea if it is possible to xchange something
In a Cheap Way if scratched?

Review Step 9 in the IFIXIT Teardown they say cover glass (I'm sure they would have commented on it being plastic).
In any case it appears to be replaceable.

Klaus - As far as I know all of the iPads have glass cover glass (which can still be scratched). We placed screen protector film across the screens of the iPad2's we have here at work as a few had gotten scratched.
