Do I buy the Mid 2011 or Mid 2012 Lower Half?
There must be something different to vouch for the 20$ price variance. Emailed the help here and havent heard back

The cost difference is a part that works. Case design changes as hardware changes. Some parts are backward compatible, or fit more than one model… some parts do not.
Though the cases look similar on the outside mounting holes inside are apparently different.
